The outer appearance is just one of the differences on the new 2014 CTS.

By now you’ve probably heard about the new 2014 Cadillac CTS that will be hitting the scene this fall. It’s a full update on a car that has been a very popular model for Cadillac. But the exact components that are updated on the car aren’t always obvious. That’s why we’re taking the time to look at what has changed with our comparison of 2014 Cadillac CTS vs 2013 Cadillac CTS.

It’s difficult to not begin with the outer appearance – considering the new 2014 version of the car has some serious style updates. The 2014 CTS has a lean body and low roofline that gives it a more streamlined overall appearance. And the front, side and back of the car have been completely updated as well. Inside, the new CTS has new craftsmanship and upgraded interior elements throughout that provide a completely custom look and feel.
But in addition to the exterior components, the 2014 Cadillac CTS vs 2013 Cadillac CTS comparison brings some changes to light in the engine compartment as well. The 2013 CTS offered two V6 engine options – a 3.0-liter and 3.6-liter six-cylinder. On the 2014 CTS, the 3.6-liter engine survives as a 321 horsepower marvel. But added to the mix is a 2.0-liter Turbo four-cylinder that will have output of an impressive 272 horsepower. And after the initial launch, there will be a CTS Vsport engine offered on a limited basis that will have output of 420 horsepower.

From the inside-out it’s pretty obvious that Cadillac pulled out all of the stops when updating the CTS. When the vehicle hits the lot here at Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac, the comparison of 2014 Cadillac CTS vs 2013 Cadillac CTS will be even more obvious to all of us. Until then, we’ll have to wait.
