Recall worries? We can help.

How to find out if your car is recalled

Finding out that your vehicle may be involved in a recent recall can be stressful. It’s important to understand the recall process, how to find out if your car is recalled, and what steps need to happen to see that the issue is rectified in a safe and timely fashion. Here at Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac, our priority is to make sure you get your situation handled quickly and efficiently – whether you need your vehicle to receive necessary repairs as part of the recall or you just need to ascertain whether your specific model is involved. Today we’ll go over some of that process so that you know what to expect.

If your car has been recalled for any reason, it is the manufacturer’s responsibility to make sure you’re properly notified. The notification should come in the form of a letter with specific instructions about the nature of the recall and what you need to do in order to have your car services under the recall. If you’ve received such a letter, we suggest you give our service center a call so we can get you in as soon as possible to get things taken care of.

Now, what if you know that your particular model is one that’s been affected but you haven’t received a letter? Things get lost in the mail, and oversights happen in even the most well-run of corporate conditions. You might just find yourself wanting to be totally sure – the old “no news is good news” adage really doesn’t resonate so well when the safety of your vehicle in in question. That’s why we are helping to provide you with a resource that should clear up once and for all whether your vehicle is being recalled and what you need to do if it is.
