GM OnStar® – Free Data and Services During COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has created a lot of uncertainty that has affected people everywhere. In order to help during these trouble times, OnStar® is providing free in-vehicle data and assistance services for a limited time. As long as your GM (Buick, Cadillac, Chevy, GMC) vehicle is compatible with OnStar®, you can access these complimentary features during this timeframe.
OnStar® Crisis Assist*
Crisis Assist connects a driver with an OnStar® Advisor at any time of the day, seven days a week. Crisis Assist is designed for an OnStar® Advisor from the OnStar® Command Center to help drivers with up-to-date vehicle information, directions, special routing assistance, and other forms of critical aid during emergencies. These services are most helpful to drivers in areas of severe weather, natural disasters, and other natural or man-made emergencies.
To access OnStar® Crisis Assist, all you’ll need to do is push the OnStar® blue button for assistance.
For emergency assistance, push the red button.

As mentioned above, OnStar® Advisors are ready to help on a 24/7 basis. Assistance is just the push of a button away!
OnStar® Complimentary In-Vehicle Data***
OnStar® is offering complimentary in-vehicle data in terms of 3 GB or 3 months' worth of data (whichever comes first). Using a Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, or GMC vehicle’s 4G LTE Wi-Fi® Hotspot, this data can be used to send emails, access the internet, and stream music and videos.
