Family Fun in Kenosha this Month

Kenosha WI Events March 2014

Looking to get the family out of the house now that we’re finally starting to thaw out? In addition to providing you with incredible prices on new and used vehicles that can help you get around and out of town whenever your heart desires, we’re also giving you some suggestions on what to do around town this month! Here are some of our top picks for Kenosha WI events in March 2014 for the whole family to enjoy:

First of all, as fellow car enthusiasts we’re glad to tell you that the Kenosha History Center’s “My Pride & Joy” exhibit is back on display as of March 11th after some electrical problems had put it on hiatus. You’ll be able to see classics like a 1923 Ford Model T Runabout, a 1956 VW Dune Buggy, among others, and a new crop of vintage automobiles will be on display as of April 1st. This event is free, but if you’d like to make a donation to ensure future exhibits like this are available for everyone to enjoy, there’s a suggested rate of $2 for adults and $1 for kids.

Have you been to the Dinosaur Discovery Museum yet? On March 8-9, March 15-16, March 23, and March 29-30, you can bring the kids to a first-hand paleontology excavation activity. It’s completely free and a great chance to teach kids more about fossils and let them get involved hands-on. Programs run from 1-4 on designated days.

And don’t forget the Kenosha Winter HarborMarket! Every Saturday through May 10, you can come on down to 510 56th Street at the Rhode Center for the Arts and find great things to buy like artisan cheeses, baked goods, arts & crafts, and more from about two dozen vendors. The event will move outdoors and be the huge farm market you know and love with much more on offer after it warms up in May, but in the meantime, this weekly event is well worth checking out, and the kids will have fun, too!

We hope the remaining weeks of winter find you well, and bring on the spring!
